Online Therapy in Houston and Across Texas for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ Adults
You keep it together all day. In meetings where you're the only one. On the 610 at rush hour. On the family group chat. And by the time you get home, there's nothing left for you.
I'm Nicole Obih, LCSW, a Black queer, Nigerian-American therapist offering online therapy from Houston to anywhere in Texas. Here, you don't have to explain your culture, your identity, or why "just set a boundary" isn't that simple.

Therapy that fits a Houston schedule
No traffic, no waiting room, no taking a whole afternoon off. Join from your home office, your parked car, or anywhere you can close a door. Evening appointments are available, so therapy doesn't have to compete with work.
What Texans come to therapy with me for
Corporate burnout and work stress: being the one who always delivers, and being tired of proving yourself twice
Trauma: old experiences that still show up in your body, your sleep, and your relationships (racial trauma therapy)
Identity: questions about race, gender, sexuality, and who you are outside other people's expectations (LGBTQ+ affirming therapy)
Self-esteem: the voice that says you're too much, or never enough
Life transitions: new jobs, breakups, moves, coming out, becoming a parent
Relationships: the same fight on repeat, or losing yourself in other people (couples therapy)
When your family's expectations come with you
Maybe your parents sacrificed a lot to get you here, and you feel every bit of it. You love them, and you're also exhausted from living up to a version of you that was decided before you could choose. As a Nigerian-American therapist, I know that tug-of-war from the inside. We'll make room for both: your loyalty and your own life.
