Online Therapy for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ Adults in Florida

Nicole Obih, LCSW, is a Nigerian-American, Black queer therapist offering online therapy to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ adults anywhere in Florida. Florida has plenty of therapists. Very few understand what it's like to be Black, queer, trans, or the child of immigrants. With me, you won't have to explain your identity, your family, or why “setting a boundary" isn't that simple.

  • Black, queer, trans, and nonbinary adults tired of being "the strong one"

  • First-generation and immigrant-family adults carrying cultural expectations and intergenerational pressure

  • LGBTQ+ adults dealing with family rejection, coming out later in life, or the stress of current state politics

  • Couples and partners, including polyamorous and open relationships

My approach: ACT, CBT, and trauma-informed care

I blend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, and strengths-based, trauma-informed care. We name the patterns keeping you stuck, trace where they came from, and build skills that hold up in real life. I'm warm and direct: affirming, but not passive.
